Job Description: Landscape (Horticulture) Engineer cum Supervisor

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5-7 Years

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:

- Plan, execute, and supervise landscape and horticulture projects, including softscaping and hardscaping.
- Monitor project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely completion.

2. Horticulture Expertise:

- Develop planting plans, soil preparation techniques, and irrigation systems.
- Select and source plants, grass, trees, and other horticultural elements based on the project’s requirements and climatic conditions.
- Ensure proper maintenance of existing landscapes, including pruning, fertilization, pest control, and replanting when necessary.

3. Site Supervision:

- Oversee daily operations and the execution of landscaping tasks by teams.
- Coordinate with contractors, workers, and vendors for seamless implementation of projects.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met on-site.

4. Client and Team Coordination:

- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide suitable landscaping solutions.
- Train and supervise the workforce in horticulture techniques and safety protocols.

5. Design and Innovation:

- Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to develop innovative landscaping solutions.
- Incorporate sustainable and eco-friendly practices into projects.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain records of work progress, material usage, and expenses.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management or clients as needed.

Key Skills Required:

- In-depth knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, and plant species.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for landscaping and irrigation systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and blueprints.
- Familiarity with local climatic conditions and soil types in Chennai.
- Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Agriculture, or related fields.
- Proficiency in landscape maintenance and management.

Preferred:

- Experience working on large-scale landscape projects in urban settings.
- Familiarity with the Chennai region’s flora and environmental factors.

**Salary**: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
