**Introduction**:
As a Barclays Solution Architect you will be a motivated and talented individual who wants to make their next career move into a Financial Services Architecture team that aspires to be the best in class. The team is dedicating to transforming the banking lives of our customers and colleagues. You will assist the Architect team to define technical solutions that have true business value as well as customer and colleague impact

**What will you be doing?**
- Own delivery of solution architecture and technology designs for core function programmes
- Own and manage relevant the architecture governance and controls for the programme - CTO, CSO and CDO
- Own and manage relationships with the Programme or Project Manager, Product Owner and Business Analyst for the assigned programme
- Oversee Technical Product Ownership for Core Functions
- Support the development of wider systems strategy and plan for the supported business area
- Development and support of junior team members.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Solution Development - Extensive experience creating fit for purpose technology solutions that are deliverable, meet business need, and correspond to organisational strategic guidance
- Technical Knowledge - A very good broad understanding of a wide variety of technologies pertinent to Barclaycard, with notable substantial knowledge and experience in specific technology areas.
- Stakeholder Management - Able and confident to challenge stakeholders creatively and professionally to create solutions which meet all of the above criteria but which are not necessarily obvious responses to pre-defined requests.
