Job Title**:Head of Department -** **Sports**

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Oversee the PE department, set strategic goals, and ensure the delivery of a high-quality sports curriculum aligned.

Curriculum Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate a dynamic physical education curriculum that meets requirements and promotes holistic student growth.

Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching to both students and fellow PE staff members, promoting a culture of physical fitness and excellence in sports.

Event Coordination: Organize and manage school sports events, inter-school competitions, and wellness programs.

Student Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students, encouraging participation and enthusiasm in sports and physical activities.

Administrative Duties: Prepare departmental reports, budget, schedules, and maintain equipment inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in an IB curriculum school.

Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building skills; ability to motivate students and staff.

Certifications: Relevant teaching or coaching certifications are an advantage.
