**Job Description - CCTV Technician**

**About the Role**

S-VYASA University is seeking a dedicated **CCTV Technician** to manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV surveillance systems across the campus. The role is crucial in ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and related equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of surveillance systems.
- Ensure proper cabling, wiring, and network configuration for cameras.
- Maintain system records, service reports, and equipment documentation.
- Provide first-level technical support for security systems to staff/security team.
- Ensure compliance with safety and university security protocols.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Hardware, or related field.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of DVR/NVR systems, IP cameras, and access control integration.
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, LAN setup).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle fieldwork within the campus.

**Preferred**
- Experience with biometric, access control, or alarm systems.
- Vendor certifications (Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua, or equivalent).
