Context:
This position is for the role of Domain Expert - Irrigation (Digital Transformation)

for Telengana CPMS project

Missions/Main Duties:

- Collaborate with digital teams to design and implement smart irrigation systems using IoT, GIS, SCADA, and remote sensing technologies.
- Evaluate existing irrigation infrastructure and recommend digital upgrades to improve efficiency, monitoring, and control.
- Support the development of digital twins and simulation models for water distribution and irrigation performance.
- Contribute to the design of data-driven dashboards and analytics tools for real-time decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with water regulations, sustainability goals, and digital governance standards.
- Liaise with stakeholders including government agencies, farmers, engineers, and technology vendors.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on irrigation best practices and digital integration.

Profile/Skills:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Irrigation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in irrigation system design, implementation, and management.
- Strong understanding of digital technologies such as GIS, SCADA, IoT, and data analytics in water infrastructure.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or public sector projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation skills.
