Job Description: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Highway/Structure) in a Consultancy Firm

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Highway/Structure)

Experience: 7-10 years Education: B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field

**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, measurements, and cost estimates for highway and structure projects.

Prepare bills of quantities, tender documents, and contract documents.

Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications and drawings to identify scope of work and project requirements.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting and budget control throughout the project lifecycle.

Evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor relationships.

Monitor project progress, identify potential variations, and prepare change orders as required.

Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors as necessary.

Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address project-related queries and resolve issues effectively.

Maintain accurate records of all quantity surveying activities and documentation.

**Requirements**:
B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.

7-10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in highway and structure projects within a consultancy firm.

Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, techniques, and best practices.

Proficient in using relevant quantity surveying software and tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Professional certifications or affiliations in quantity surveying would be an advantage.

**Salary**: ₹17,250.37 - ₹64,454.40 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
