Mountainner (Trekking Expert)

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with archaeologists to develop and implement safe trekking and expedition plans for archaeological explorations in mountain ranges.
- Conduct reconnaissance missions to assess terrain, altitude, and environmental conditions before fieldwork.
- Provide logístical support, including route mapping, campsite setup, and equipment management.
- Ensure the safety of expedition members by conducting risk assessments, offering first-aid support, and implementing emergency response plans.
- Assist in carrying and transporting excavation tools, artifacts, and essential supplies across challenging landscapes.
- Train and guide archaeologists and research team members on trekking techniques, altitude acclimatization, and survival strategies.
- Coordinate with local guides, porters, and rescue teams as needed.
- Document field observations and contribute insights related to environmental conditions affecting archaeological activities.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Proven experience in high-altitude mountaineering, trekking, or alpine expeditions.
- Strong knowledge of navigation tools, including GPS, maps, and compass-based orientation.
- Physical fitness and endurance to operate in extreme environments.
- Experience in planning and executing multi-day expeditions in mountainous terrains.
- Knowledge of environmental preservation and Leave No Trace principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including archaeologists, historians, and conservationists.
- Familiarity with the cultural and historical significance of archaeological sites in mountain regions is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and crisis management skills.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in assisting scientific research or archaeological fieldwork.
- Ability to communicate effectively with local communities and indigenous guides.
- Basic knowledge of geology and environmental conditions impacting archaeological sites.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: From ₹2,500.00 per day
