Bim Coordinator

Review BIM work produced by the consultants and contractors at milestone submissions and end-of-stage submissions.
- Set-up CDE for related district project as per Client guidelines and standards. Providing the necessary training to consultants and contractors in the use of the BIM CDE.
- Review and approve the BIM Execution Plan and related documentation for all projects.
- Provide ad-hoc support to consultants and contractors during projects stages to facilitate them in achieving the BIM requirements.
- Internal interface management between projects (to coordinate between LDCs in design stage to have a consistency in levelling and grading, additionally to ensure the right execution in construction phase) and between Districts (coordinating with District PMC BIM Managers)
- Ensure documented standards, processes, procedures and workflows are adhered to, drive standards, processes & procedures.
- Liaison with the Lead Design Consultant to produce a BIM post-contract execution plan to be submitted to Client for approval within two (2) weeks of the award.
- Assurance of Development of project BIMs for all disciplines (including all Several Consultants, Sub Consultants, and all
- vendors) to ‘LOD 300’, with data organization such that it can be further developed to ‘LOD 400/500’ at later project stages.
- Assure that Lead Design Consultant creates and maintains a consolidated, multi-disciplinary (architectural, structural, civil, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing included), fully integrated and verifiable three (3) dimensional solid, digital project model covering the entire scope. The master model must be submitted in at the detailed design, tender and construction documentation stages in source format. The model should be updated during construction stage for possible changes.
- Assure that the BIM Model shall offer direct integration of progress by Client or Consultant, independently of regular reporting requirements of the Lead Design Consultant
- Assure that the BIM Model has the facility/capability to offer a facility management module from the onset.
- Assure that all Assets Information and GIS data had been integrated clearly and embedded within the BIM models starting from the Detailed Design phase up to the Handing-over phase.
- Assuring on having a Virtual Reality environment that will be created by LDCs and/or GCs and guided by Client requirements.
- Ensuring that a BIM interface protocol has been established and approved covering the transfer of ownership of the BIM Model from
- the Lead Design Consultant to the Contractor and from the Contractor to the operator
- Liaison with the General Contractor to produce a BIM Execution Plan to be submitted to Client for approval within two (2) weeks of the award.
- Assurance of Development of project BIMs for all disciplines (including all Several contractors, Sub contractors, and all
- vendors) with data organization to ‘LOD 400/500’.
- Assurance that As-built condition shall be incorporated into the BIM model by the Contractor. The PMC shall undertake
- their own review of the ‘as-built status’ documents and operational and maintenance manuals.
- PMC shall assure that General Contractor BIM team is with a sufficient knowledge and experience to manage and execute all BIM uses and requirements, additionally, to deliver all requested deliverables in
- the EIR.
- The PMC shall utilize the BIM model to accurately report progress and to validate the programme.
- The PMC shall ensure that all contracted parties regularly produce and work to one-month look-ahead programmes. The two weeks look-ahead programmes shall be produced for key work areas and packages and shall include resources and be loaded with cost data and shall interface with the contractor’s overall programme for the Works. The PMC shall utilize the BIM to directly investigate the progress of the design independently from the LDC’s reports.
- The PMC is required to provide the appropriate resources and skill sets to manage such a process. Consultant’s BIM management plan shall provide details of BIM data handover.
- The PMC should assure that handing-over package shall include fully loaded BIM model covering all aspects of design, construction, vendor and supplier information and an operational facility management module. Additionally, a full report of BIM model status and FM utilization.

**Direct BIM Responsibilities**
- Verify Clash free models are submitted at IFC, Construction and Handover stages.
- Run Clash Detections between various LDCs models
- Create BIM Models for Temporary works as needed.
- Create localized 2D sketches &3D Models as needed.
- Support Quantity Surveying Team in getting information from BIM Models
