Introduction

What will you be doing?

Knowledge and Skill
a) Participate in requirement analysis and static testing
a. Understand the AUT and share your understanding within the team
b. Create query log/ mind map/ flow charts as deliverables for review and future usage
c. Create scoping document and review with project team
b) Participate in test estimations for project
d) Under minimum or no supervision carries out procedures and tests to ensure that information systems meet standards and end user requirements.
e) Responsible for specific test phases
f) Develop test specifications based on various requirement documents within schedule constraints
g) Preparation and execution of test ware - scenarios, cases and data
h) Produce test results/screenshots & upload to Test Director/Quality Centre

i) Create test cases/ scripts/ charters/ data sheets/ sample data
j) Set up and Execute tests and record evidence
k) Raise defects with appropriate amount of details
l) Working knowledge of Quality Center/Jira or any other test case management or defect management tool
m) Awareness/Focus on test automation/performance testing with ability to support & plan scope identification.
n) Report status promptly, accurately and as required
o) Build knowledge repository on best practices on using specific test tools
p) Uses utilities and tools to support testing
q) Create and maintain required MI for the project/ module, update JIRA

What we’re looking for:

- Keen knowledge on testing concepts, processes, types and methods of testing
- Previous experience and exposure in automation management/testing and framework creation. (Selenium/Java) is a must.
- Knowledge of SOAP, and REST API is must
- Domain knowledge of Wealth domain will be preferred
- Client portfolio, and performance experience will be preferred
- Experience in testing of Web Based Applications.
- Experience of working in agile projects.
- Knowledge of Test Management tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Graduate with technical background
- Experience in testing of Mobile Based Applications.
- ISTQB/CSTE certification will be added advantage.
- Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage

c) Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains
d) Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams
e) Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools
f) Exposure to working in a team and guiding junior colleagues
g) Hands-on experience in one or more technical areas - Unix, SQL, ETL, VBA, Macros, PERL - will be advantage
h) Ability to manage own work and work independently
i) Experience in working on 4-8 projects of 6 months duration or more with global teams
j) Participate in organization activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture
