**Location**: THAVALAKUPPAM, PONDICHERRY
**Employment Type**: Full-time
**Reports To**: INCHARGE/ MSW STAFF

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary needs, preferences, and health conditions of elderly residents.
- Follow menu plans while ensuring variety, taste, and nutrition in every meal.
- Ensure food is cooked hygienically and served at the correct temperature.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area.
- Monitor food inventory, place orders, and manage kitchen supplies efficiently.
- Follow food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Accommodate special dietary restrictions (low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, soft foods, etc.).
- Work collaboratively with caregivers and management to ensure residents’ needs are met.
- Minimize food waste and manage portion control effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines set by local authorities.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare, senior care, or hospitality.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for elderly individuals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and hygiene.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Compassionate and patient attitude towards elderly residents.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in food handling or culinary arts is a plus.
- Experience working in an old age home, hospital, or similar care facility.

**Working Hours**:
**MORNING :7 AM TO EVENING 7 PM**
