**Overview**:
A Horticulturist is responsible for increasing yield, improving vigor, size, and taste of plants. They also coordinate research programs for selective crops. Horticulturists must have extensive knowledge about trees, flowers, vegetables, nuts, bushes, and fruits.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Crop management**: Oversee the production of crops, including planting, harvesting, and crop scheduling
- **Research**: Study plant genetics, evolution, and development to improve growing methods
- **Pest management**: Manage programs to control weeds, pests, and diseases
- **Fertilizer management**: Test and mix fertilizers to ensure plants get the right nutrients
- **Greenhouse management**: Monitor plants in greenhouses to ensure they get the right care and fertilizers
- **Equipment operation**: Operate farming equipment like tractors, lawnmowers, and fertilizer sprayers
- **Staff management**: Oversee and train farm, garden, or nursery staff
- **Business management**: Maintain financial records, write and modify business plans, and negotiate contracts

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive knowledge of trees, flowers, vegetables, nuts, bushes, and fruits
- Post-secondary education, such as an associate's degree in Agriculture or similar to that.
- Certifications, such as a Pesticide Applicator's License
- Related experience and/or training

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
