Laboratory Assistant

Sophisticated Instrumentation Facility (SIF). Responsibilities include handling various
equipment, analyzing samples, and ensuring proper usage and maintenance of the
instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and calibration of
advanced scientific instruments.
- User Support: Provide support to users on instrument operation and experimental
techniques.
- Data Management: Ensure proper data collection, storage, and analysis protocols are followed.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines for facility operations.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control standards for experiments and instrument performance.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of instrument usage,
maintenance, and experimental results.
- Must be willing to work in shifts if required.
Qualification
- A Master's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Materials science).
- Experience with sophisticated instrumentation and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
instrumentation in an accredited laboratory (e.g., FTIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, GC/GC-MS,
Elemental analysis instruments, XRD).
**Salary**: ₹15,000 - ₹25,000, depending on competency and experience.
