**Job Position** : Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)

Experience Level : 3 to 4 Years

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
- 3 to 4 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
- **MS-DBA certification is a must**:

- Experience in **ETL** is much preferred.
- Effective problem solving and communication skills.

**Responsibilities**:
Database Maintenance
- Perform routine database maintenance activities such as backups, restores, and index & statistics maintenance.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for improved efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all databases.

Database Security
- Implement and maintain database security policies, including user access control and data encryption.
- Perform regular security checks and address vulnerabilities.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to development and IT teams for database-related problems.
- Should be well versed with MSSQL Profiler and any other relevant tools for monitoring the database servers
- Should be well versed with writing script for logging server & database related alerts

Performance Tuning
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in SQL Server databases.
- Continuously monitor and fine-tune database performance parameters. User MS-SQL profile, or relevant tools, write SQL scripts to perform this activity.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery
- Configure and manage SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups or other high availability solutions.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Database Design & Development
- Assist in database schema design and modification as needed.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and database performance.
- Contribute to the development of database-related code and scripts.

Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate and share regular reports on database performance and health.

Collaboration With Stakeholders
- Collaborate with other functional teams to ensure database & server requirements are met.

**Salary**: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
