Junior Draftsman

The **Junior Draftsman - Landscape** is responsible for preparing landscape drawings, plans, and technical documentation to support landscape architects and project teams. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, attention to detail, and coordination with designers to ensure accurate and high-quality drawings for landscape projects.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:
**1. Drafting & Documentation**:

- Prepare **2D and 3D landscape drawings** including **concept plans, planting plans, hardscape, softscape, planting and lighting, grading, irrigation, and construction details**.
- Develop **presentation plans and good for constructions (working drawings)**under the supervision of senior draftsmen or architects.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to **project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations**.
- Assist in **updating and revising drawings** based on client and consultant feedback.

**2. Collaboration & Coordination**:

- Work closely with **landscape architects, engineers, and project teams** to understand design intent and project requirements.
- Coordinate with **site teams and contractors** to clarify technical details and resolve minor issues.
- Assist in **reviewing supplier materials and specifications** for landscape elements.
- Ensure **proper documentation and organization of drawing files** for easy access and retrieval.

**3. Software & Tools Utilization**:

- Proficient in **AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Suite** for drafting and presentation.
- Use **GIS mapping tools and digital terrain modelling software** as required.
- Maintain knowledge of **CAD standards, layering systems, and drafting conventions**.

**4. Site Coordination & Support**:

- Conduct **site visits** to verify design execution and **update as-built drawings** if necessary.
- Support in **surveying and documentation** of existing site conditions.
- Assist in the **preparation of reports and quantity take-offs** for landscape materials.

**5. Compliance & Standards**:

- Ensure drawings comply with **local building codes, sustainability guidelines, and landscape industry standards**.
- Maintain awareness of **best practices in sustainable and ecological landscaping**.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- **5-8 years**of experience in landscape drafting, with a strong portfolio of **Commercial, Residential, ECO Parks and Public Projects**.
- Proficiency in **landscape design elements such as hardscape, softscape, planting and lighting, irrigation, and grading**.
- Basic knowledge of **horticulture, plant species, and landscape construction materials**.
- Experience working with **landscape consultants, urban planners, or civil engineers** is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
