**Job Title**: Engineering Wood Furniture Designer & Renderer

**Department**: Design/Product Development

**Reports To**: Design Manager/Head of Product Development

**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Design**:

- Conceptualize and design innovative and functional furniture pieces using engineering wood materials (plywood, MDF, particleboard, etc.).
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications, including dimensions, materials, and joinery techniques.
- Consider ergonomics, manufacturing feasibility, and cost-effectiveness in the design process.
- Stay up-to-date on current furniture trends, materials, and technologies.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs meet market needs and brand identity.
- **3D Modeling & Rendering**:

- Create accurate and detailed 3D models of furniture designs using software such as SolidWorks, 3ds Max, or SketchUp.
- Produce high-quality photorealistic renderings of furniture designs, showcasing different materials, finishes, and environments.
- Develop 360-degree views and animations of furniture designs for presentations and marketing materials.
- **Technical Expertise**:

- Knowledge of various furniture manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, edge banding, and assembly techniques.
- Familiarity with different hardware and fittings used in furniture construction.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Effectively communicate design ideas and technical information to colleagues, clients, and manufacturers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, production) to ensure successful product launches.
- Present design concepts and renderings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing engineering wood furniture.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (SolidWorks, 3ds Max, SketchUp, V-Ray, Corona Renderer).
- Strong portfolio showcasing furniture design and rendering skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

**Bonus Points**:

- Experience with parametric design software (Grasshopper).
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Understanding of furniture industry standards and regulations.
