**Role Summary**
- To operate conventional lathe and milling machines for precision machining of components as per engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules, ensuring safe work practices at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **1. Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate conventional lathes and milling machines as per job requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
- **2. Quality Control**:

- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish specifications.
- Record inspection results and maintain proper documentation.
- **3. Maintenance & Housekeeping**:

- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and tools.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- **4. Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE usage and safe machine operation.
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- **5. Continuous Improvement**:

- Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Participate in training programs to upgrade skills.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: ITI Turner / ITI Machinist OR completion of a full-term apprenticeship.
- **Experience**:

- ITI with apprenticeship completion can apply.
- 2-5 years of experience in conventional lathe and milling operations is preferred.

**Preferred Skills/Experience**:

- Knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and material properties.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality standards.
- Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Willingness to work in all 3 shifts as required and 6 days office.
