**Job Title**: Infection Control Nurse **Location**: Bangalore

**Reports To**: Infection Control Manager / Head of Nursing Service
**Job Summary**:
The Infection Control Nurse plays a critical role in preventing, identifying, and managing infections in healthcare settings. They are responsible for monitoring infection control policies and procedures, educating healthcare staff, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards to minimize the risk of infections within the facility.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent).
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is highly preferred, or the willingness to obtain certification within a specific time frame.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a clinical nursing role, with at least 3 in infection control or a related field.
- **Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of infection prevention and control principles.
- Familiarity with infection control regulations and standards (e.g., CDC, WHO).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data and trends.
- Excellent communication skills for training and educating staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- **Additional Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and respond promptly to infection outbreaks.
- Proficiency with computer systems and infection control databases.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position, with potential for shifts, weekends, or on-call duties.
- The role may require wearing PPE and working in clinical settings that involve exposure to infectious diseases.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift as required for patient care and infection control audits.
- Frequent use of computers and documentation tools.
