Saint-Gobain Building Distribution is one of the largest business vertical in Saint Gobain Group, with close to annual turnover of 19+ Bn Euro.. It is the No.1 building material distribution network in Europe with about 3000+ sales outlets. There are two Global Sourcing offices; India (Mumbai) and China (Shanghai), which takes care of sourcing building construction products from Asia. The Sourcing Office in India was established in Feb 2009 and has grown its Sourcing turnover to 27 Mn USD (CY2022) since inception. The office is involved in activities such as Supplier Identification, Evaluation, Commercial Negotiations, Product development, Product Quality Compliance, Customer Compliant Resolution, Factory Audits and Supplier Performance Evaluation. Sourcing Function Overview: Sourcing Function takes the lead role in new business development activity. The prime role of the function is, Supplier Identification & Evaluation, New Product Development as per EU requirements, Commercial Negotiation, handle Logistics, Contract Management, Customer Relationship Management, Supplier Performance Management and complying with International Trade norms.
