We are looking for a professional, driven and passionate Health and Safety Officer to work for our client.

Our client is a rapidly expanding, group of companies within the Waste Management sector based in the Newry, Mourne and Down area who are currently seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join the team at this exciting time of growth.
- **Job Overview**:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining high standards across the company's sites by conducting site inspections, H&S audits, and ensuring compliance with existing Integrated Management Systems. You will also investigate incidents, monitor environmental hazards, and support the development of best practices within the organisation.
- **Key Duties**:

- Conduct safety inspections and H&S audits at various Re-Gen Holdings sites.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, reporting findings to the department head.
- Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and DSEAR assessments.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 systems.
- Manage document controls and ensure up-to-date compliance with license requirements.
- Identify training needs, schedule and facilitate training sessions.
- Monitor environmental hazards, such as noise, odour, and dust.
- Review and monitor existing policies.
- Design and deliver toolbox talks.
- Attend Health, Safety, and Environmental meetings with internal and external groups.
- Enforce site rules and regulations.**Essential Criteria**:

- Two years of experience in a similar role.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate.
- Member of IOSH Technical Member or above.
- Proactive, effective, and motivated team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working to ISO standards.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel as needed.**Desirable Criteria**:

- Degree in Environmental Health.
- Diploma-level qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Train the Trainer, Internal Auditor or ITSARR instructor certification.
- Industry experience in Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Waste Management.**The Package**:
