**Job Title: Social Worker**

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Thaagam Foundation. As a Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and supporting individuals and families facing challenges and adversities

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify their needs, strengths, and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, considering the unique circumstances and resources available to each individual or family.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to individuals and families dealing with various life issues, including but not limited to poverty, domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness.
- Offer guidance and resources to help individuals access healthcare services, housing, education, employment opportunities, and other essential support systems.
- Facilitate support groups and workshops to address specific community needs and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among participants.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Fluency in local languages or additional languages relevant to the community is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative when necessary.
