Essential Functions and Tasks:
**Training Program Development**:

- Design and develop comprehensive medical coding training programs based on industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Create engaging and interactive learning materials, including presentations, case studies, and assessments.

**Curriculum Delivery**:

- Conduct training sessions for medical coding professionals, ensuring that participants acquire a thorough understanding of coding principles, practices, and updates.
- Utilize various teaching methods, such as lectures, hands-on exercises, and simulations, to facilitate effective learning.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Monitor and assess the progress of trainees through regular evaluations, quizzes, and practical assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement in coding accuracy and efficiency.

**Stay Updated on Industry Changes**:

- Keep abreast of changes in medical coding guidelines, regulations, and industry trends.
- Update training materials and programs accordingly to reflect the latest coding standards and best practices.

**Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with internal teams to identify specific training needs and customize programs accordingly.

**Mentorship**:

- Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to trainees, offering guidance on complex coding scenarios and facilitating career development.

**Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training sessions, participant progress, and any relevant feedback.
- Generate reports on training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

**Compliance**:

- Ensure that all training programs adhere to industry compliance standards and organizational policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Proven experience as a Medical Coding Trainer or similar role.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in instructional design and delivery.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to changes in industry standards and convey updates effectively.
