Studio Underground is an esteemed organization in the field of media production and is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Video Editor to join our dynamic team. We are an empaneled agency with the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in Uttarakhand, we specialize in producing documentaries, TV spots, and government-related films. Our office is located in the beautiful city of Dehradun.

**Video Editor Job Responsibilities and Duties**
- Edit and enhance raw footage to create high-quality, visually appealing videos that align with the project's objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team, including directors and producers, to understand project requirements and ensure the timely delivery of completed videos.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Stay updated with industry trends, editing software, and techniques to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of video editing processes.
- Provide creative input during the pre-production and post-production phases to enhance the overall storytelling and visual impact of the videos.
- Explores different versions and directions and ensures compliance with highest journalist standards.
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film and Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running, Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

**Video Editor Job Requirements**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of prior experience in editing documentaries, TV spots, and government-related films.
- Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Davinci, Edius, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom)
- Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles with excellent command over various editing techniques, including but not limited to, pacing, color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
- Creative and innovative with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio and thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Keen eye for detail, creativity, and a deep understanding of visual aesthetics and familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Creative mind and Strong understanding of storytelling principles and the ability to effectively convey messages through visual storytelling.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently, to meet project goals and deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing previous work and demonstrating a high level of proficiency in video editing.
