**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and develop the library's collection, including the selection, acquisition, cataloging, classification, and maintenance of a diverse range of resources (books, periodicals, digital media, etc.).

- Develop and deliver information literacy instruction to students across different grade levels, promoting effective research skills.
- Organize and conduct library programs and events to foster a love of reading, encourage intellectual curiosity, and support the curriculum.
- Maintain the library's online catalog and other digital resources.
- Create a welcoming and engaging library environment that encourages reading, learning, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and activities into classroom instruction.
- Stay current with trends in library science, children's and young adult literature, and educational technology.
- Manage library budgets and resources effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of library usage, circulation, and collection development.
- Promote the library and its resources through various communication channels.
- Perform other library-related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib.Sc. or B.Lib.) is required.
- Master of Library Science (M.Lib.Sc. or M.Lib.) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a librarian, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of library principles, practices, and cataloging systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal System, MARC21).
- Familiarity with library management software and online databases.
- Excellent information literacy and research skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students of all ages.
- A passion for literature and a commitment to promoting reading.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment.
- Knowledge of children's and young adult literature.

**Pay Scale**:₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
