POSITION SAP ABAP Enhancement & Support Consultant REPORTING TO SAP Application Head LOCATION Mumbai EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION Graduate with career aggregate above 60%. Technical graduation like BE BTech shall be preferred. SAP Certification in ABAP shall be preferred EXPERIENCE 5 -7 years of experience in SAP ABAP along with some management experience. DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE SAP ABAP support experience preferably in retail /logistics company with preferably min 3 years of domain experience Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members partner teams management personnel and end users throughout the organization Ability to consistently meet and exceed expectations and incorporate customer service into all aspects of work. Self-driven and motivated candidate Ability to work with various system support teams from different domains (Wintel OS MS SQL Database SAP BASIS systems hardware networking etc) as well as individually to effectively manage IT personnel set priorities & drive excellence in SAP operation initiatives Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills Good understanding of ITIL principles and processes KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Working knowledge of SAP ABAP with knowledge of other SAP systems like PI FIORI EP SOLMAN etc. Hands-on in the following ABAP skills but not limited to same 1. ALE 2. IDOC 3. Module Pools 4. Reports 5. Forms (smartforms scripts etc) 6. Enhancements (Exits BADI Enhancement spots) 7. Interfaces with non-SAP system (web services Odata etc) Skilled in troubleshooting with analytical mind to solve complex issues Knowledge of Best practices in coding and coding using optimal coding objects Knowledge of Client server technology Knowledge of working of cloud applications tokens /authentications will be an added advantage Ability to maximize the utilization of technologies deployed Committed to continuous learning Knowledge of SDLC ISO /CMM ITIL software testing certifications /knowledge shall be an added advantage Experience in continuous improvement of technical ABAP enhancement & support Effective time management KEY RESPONSIBILITIES One of the leads for SAP ABAP tech module; ensuring that org’s SAP programs work reliably and securely and with best practices for coding with comments. Work to continuously improve technical maintenance & support in the SAP ABAP area for the SAP system landscapes Ensure timely enhancement maintenance & support handle escalations resolve user issues and monitor maintain & support the performance of business-critical programs for irregularities security stability and performance issues and to prevent delays slowness and quickly resolve ongoing issues. To determine RCA areas for improvement / troubleshooting and repair. Ensuring the system programs /reports are working optimally Ensure maintenance of service level agreements (SLAs). Ensure development & maintenance of IT configuration items / documents guides conforming to ITIL / Org’s standards and policies Suggest best practices /improvements to enhancement /support activities Ensures issues service requests changes are identified tracked reported on and resolved in a timely manner following the standard best coding procedures Plans effectively set priorities and manages well to meet project /activity deadlines.
