Accounts Assistant

**Job Summary**:
An Accounts Assistant is responsible for assisting with financial and accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the organization's financial operations. They work under the supervision of senior accountants or finance managers to maintain financial records, process transactions, and provide general support to the accounting department.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Financial Data Entry:
Record financial transactions, including invoices, bills, receipts, and journal entries into accounting software or spreadsheets.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Accounts Payable:
Verify and process supplier invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval.
Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Accounts Receivable:
Generate customer invoices and statements.
Follow up on overdue accounts and assist in debt collection efforts.
- Bank and Cash Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts to ensure accuracy.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Expense Management:
Review and reconcile employee expense reports.
Ensure compliance with company expense policies.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining the general ledger by reconciling accounts and making necessary adjustments.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often preferred.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
