Job Role and Responsibilities:

- Installing Oracle software and Creating databases
- Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels
- Starting up and shutting down the database (should have to be in both Windows and Linux flavour)
- Managing the database's storage structures
- Managing users and security
- Managing schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views, packages, procedures and functions
- Making database backups and performing recovery when necessary
- Proactively monitoring the database's health and taking preventive or corrective action as required
- Monitoring and tuning performance
- Building, testing, automating, and supporting the migration of workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Supporting modern Continuous Delivery processes for releasing software to production
- Writing PL/SQL code will be an added advantage
- Working Knowledge of XML, JSON, Shell and other DBMS scripts
- Hands on and Working knowledge experience on Oracle 11g, 12c, 18 and 19c
- Knowledge of REST Services, UTL functions, DBMS functions and data integration is required
- Good knowledge on table level partitions, row locks and experience in OLTP.
- Should be aware about ETL tools, Data Migration, Data Mapping functionalities, patch update
- Define source to target data mapping and data transformation logic as per the business need
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database. Planning for backup and recovery of database information. Maintaining archived data. Backing up and restoring databases
- Hands on Experience on SQL Developer tool that works on Oracle database
- Experience using Oracle Data Guard / Fast Start Failover
- Knowledge or experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) and Oracle GoldenGate
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling including Terraform, Ansible.

**Requirements**:

- Oracle DBA and OCI Cloud Infrastructure certification will be added advantage.
- Working experienced in basic database administration task including setup, backup and recovery, performance tuning, partitioning and auditing.
- Data warehousing experience. Experience in Cluster and Mirror.
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting production database in quick time.
- Exposure to Database Operations in Cloud is a good to have skill.
- Good communication skill is a must.

Good to have:

- Experience on Oracle OCI which includes monitoring of VMs, database hosted in OCI, calculating
- Experience migrating workloads to OCI
- Experience provisioning and supporting OCI components (VCNs, Compute and Database families, FastConnect, PaaS Services)
