Overview:
**_ What you’ll be responsible for:_**
- Review building plans and specifications
- Set up and run whole-building energy model systems including building envelope, lighting, HVAC, domestic hot water, and process loads based on design drawings and on-site information
- Actively participate in project discussions and meetings to review project details and deadlines
- Communicate in graphic and/or written form the inputs, methodology, and key findings and recommendations from the energy models

Qualifications:
**_ Qualifications for the Energy Modeler Associate position include:_**
- Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, and residential building HVAC systems design & operation
- Specialized technical expertise in energy analysis, modeling, and energy code compliance using software such as eQuest, OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, Design Builder, DOE-2, etc
- Knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 62.1
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and research skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute numerous project responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
