Prior exposure to Lucene and Hadoop environment

Experience with Search/storage engine optimized to search large volumes of text-centric data

Implementation using formats XML, JSON and.CSV to enter and retrieve documents

Communication using restful services with Solr

Implementation of full text search such as tokens, phrases, spell check, wildcard, and auto-complete

Organization in standalone, distributed, cloud mode for indexing and replication

Setup containing instance, core, SolrCloud

Distribution of search tasks along a cluster

Familiarity with Admin interface to manage logs, add, delete, update and search documents

Hold over architecture containing Request Handler, Search Component, Query Parser, Response Writer, Analyzer/tokenizer, Update Request Processor

Conversance with Query and Data Faceting

Responsibilities
- Search engine operations such as Acquiring Raw Content, Build/Analyze/Indexing the document, Building User Interface for Search, Building and Executing Search Query and Rendering Results

Setting up Solr in Windows and Hadoop environments

Building components of Solr

Setting up Solr instances in standalone and distributed environments

Solr Admin and command controls

Managing Solr core and inter-core communication

Indexing documents into Solr

Querying and retrieving data from indexes

Generic
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

Write well designed, testable, efficient code

Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications

Prepare and produce releases of software components

Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
