**Job Purpose**:
The Boys Hostel Warden is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the boys' hostel, ensuring a safe, disciplined, and supportive environment for students residing there. The Warden ensures the welfare, comfort, and safety of students, while maintaining discipline, managing hostel staff effectively, and ensuring the proper management of hostel accommodation, food services, and ERP systems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Student Supervision**:

- Supervise and manage the daily activities of students in the boys' hostel.
- Ensure that students follow hostel rules and regulations.
- Maintain a friendly but disciplined environment in the hostel.
- Address and resolve students' issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- **Safety & Security**:

- Ensure the security of hostel premises, including monitoring the entry and exit of students.
- Coordinate with security personnel to ensure round-the-clock safety.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety drills.
- **Hostel Management**:

- Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the hostel building and surrounding areas.
- Ensure proper functioning of hostel facilities such as electricity, water, and sanitation.
- Report and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues.
- Supervise hostel staff (helpers, cleaners, etc.) and ensure their duties are performed effectively.
- **Discipline & Conflict Resolution**:

- Ensure discipline within the hostel by monitoring student behavior.
- Handle conflicts between students and take appropriate action in accordance with institutional policies.
- Organize regular counseling sessions for students as needed.
- Report serious issues or violations to the higher authorities.
- **Record Keeping & ERP Management**:

- Maintain detailed records of students, including attendance, complaints, issues, and personal details.
- Manage and maintain the Hostel ERP system for tracking student occupancy, services provided, and other essential data.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date data for accommodation, food, and hostel amenities in the ERP system.
- Monitor and maintain the hostel inventory, ensuring sufficient stock of essentials (bed linens, toiletries, etc.).
- **Food & Accommodation Management**:

- Oversee and manage the hostel's food and accommodation services.
- Ensure timely and nutritious meals are provided to the students in the hostel mess.
- Coordinate with the mess staff and vendors to ensure quality and hygiene standards are maintained in food preparation and serving.
- Ensure accommodation facilities (rooms, beds, furniture) are well-maintained, clean, and comfortable for students.
- **Communication & Coordination**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and parents regarding hostel-related concerns.
- Ensure proper communication between hostel management and other departments.
- Report any major incidents or irregularities to the management promptly.
- **Student Welfare**:

- Create a conducive and positive atmosphere for students to study and relax.
- Organize cultural, recreational, and sports activities for students.
- Provide guidance and support to students, especially in dealing with personal or academic issues.
- **Compliance & Reporting**:

- Ensure the hostel adheres to institutional guidelines and government regulations.
- Submit regular reports to the management regarding the hostel's functioning, student issues, food quality, accommodation, and any other concerns.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A graduate degree in any discipline. A background in management, social work, or hostel administration is an advantage.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hostel administration or a similar role, preferably in an educational institution. Previous experience in managing hostel accommodation, food services, and ERP systems is highly preferred.
- **Military Background (preferred)**: Ex-military personnel are preferred due to their strong leadership, discipline, and ability to manage large groups of individuals in challenging environments.
- **Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage student behavior and resolve conflicts.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with ERP systems for managing hostel data and operations.
