**Position Overview**: The Safety Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors within the organization. This position involves overseeing safety protocols, conducting inspections, providing safety training, and collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Safety Compliance**:

- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, regional, and national safety regulations.
- Stay updated on safety standards, codes, and regulations, and ensure the organization's practices remain current and in adherence.

**Inspections and Audits**:

- Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address and rectify safety concerns raised during inspections and audits.

**Accident Prevention**:

- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and take necessary corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.

**Safety Training**:

- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and new hires, ensuring they are well-informed about safety procedures and practices.
- Organize safety drills and exercises to ensure readiness in the event of an emergency.

**Emergency Response**:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities during emergencies.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to conduct emergency evacuation drills and simulations periodically.

**Safety Data Analysis**:

- Collect, analyze, and interpret safety data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks.
- Prepare and present safety reports to management detailing key metrics, incidents, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that safety protocols are integrated seamlessly into their processes and workflows.
- Communicate safety policies, guidelines, and updates to all personnel through regular meetings, training sessions, and communication channels.

**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)**:

- Oversee the proper selection, distribution, and use of personal protective equipment and ensure its availability and functionality.
- Monitor adherence to PPE requirements and address non-compliance as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) preferred.
- Proven experience in safety management, with a focus on hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention.
- Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively train and educate staff.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns.

**Working Conditions**: The Safety Supervisor typically works in an office environment, but may also spend time in various areas of the organization, including production floors, construction sites, and outdoor locations. This role may involve occasional travel for training, meetings, or site visits.
