**Overview**: The Sanskrit Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in Sanskrit language and literature to students in classes 6 to 8. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and promoting an appreciation for the Sanskrit language and its cultural heritage.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Delivery**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for teaching Sanskrit, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and literature.
- Teach students to read, write, and understand Sanskrit, and explore classical texts and cultural aspects related to the language.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods and resources, such as interactive activities and multimedia tools, to meet various learning styles and needs.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, assignments, and class participation.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on students’ work and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades and academic progress.
- **Student Support**:

- Offer additional support and tutoring to students who may need help with understanding Sanskrit concepts or completing assignments.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters student interest in Sanskrit and its cultural significance.
- Encourage students to engage actively with the language and appreciate its historical and literary value.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and refinement of the Sanskrit curriculum.
- Stay informed about current educational practices and incorporate innovative strategies into lesson planning and teaching.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Address and manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and focused atmosphere for learning.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide educational initiatives.
- **Communication**:

- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide regular updates to parents about their child’s progress and any concerns related to Sanskrit language learning.
- Engage in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- B.A./M.A. in Sanskrit with B.Ed. (or equivalent teaching qualification).
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience teaching Sanskrit to middle school students.
- Familiarity with educational standards and assessment methods for language instruction.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of Sanskrit language, literature, and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for Sanskrit and a commitment to promoting its cultural and educational value.
- **Certification Requirements**:

- Profiles with Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) are preferred and prioritized
