Job Description: Architect

**Overview**:
An architect is responsible for designing buildings and structures. They work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects meet functional, aesthetic, and safety requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Conceptual design**: Develop initial design concepts based on client needs and project requirements.
- **Detailed design**: Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for construction.
- **Site visits**: Visit construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design plans.
- **Client communication**: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- **Collaboration with engineers**: Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure that designs are feasible and meet building codes.
- **Permitting**: Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
- **Project management**: Oversee the construction process to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- **Sustainability**: Incorporate sustainable design principles into projects to reduce environmental impact.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
- Architectural licensure (where required).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
