The Mechanical Store Incharge is responsible for managing all aspects of the mechanical inventory, including procurement, storage, and distribution of mechanical parts and equipment. This role ensures optimal stock levels, effective inventory management, and supports operational needs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Inventory Management**:
- Maintain accurate records of all mechanical parts and equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and stock assessments.
- Ensure timely replenishment of stock based on usage patterns and forecasts.
- **Procurement**:
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes and purchase orders.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, price, and delivery time.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- **Store Operations**:
- Organize the mechanical store layout for efficient accessibility.
- Implement proper storage methods to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Oversee the issuance of materials to internal teams and track usage.
- **Team Management**:
- Supervise and train store staff on inventory handling and safety protocols.
- Schedule and manage team shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed.
- **Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain safety records.
- Implement best practices for material handling and storage.
