Job Description:
As a sommelier, you play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for guests by curating and managing the wine selection in restaurants, hotels, or other dining establishments. Your responsibilities include:

- Wine Selection: You meticulously choose wines to complement the menu offerings, taking into account factors such as flavor profiles, food pairings, and customer preferences.
- Wine Inventory Management: You oversee the procurement, storage, and rotation of wine inventory, ensuring optimal quality and freshness.
- Wine Service: You provide guidance and recommendations to guests, assisting them in selecting wines that suit their tastes and preferences. You also oversee wine service protocols, including decanting and proper glassware usage.
- Staff Training: You educate and train restaurant staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and sales strategies to enhance their ability to assist guests effectively.
- Wine Events and Tastings: You organize and host wine events, tastings, and educational seminars to promote wine culture and increase sales.
- Customer Relations: You build relationships with guests, fostering loyalty and trust through personalized service and expert recommendations.
- Wine List Development: You collaborate with chefs and management to develop and update wine lists, ensuring alignment with the restaurant's culinary concept and target market.
- Wine Trends and Industry Knowledge: You stay informed about the latest wine trends, industry developments, and emerging vineyards and wineries, continuously expanding your expertise.

Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and vintages.
- Certification from reputable wine education programs (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust).
- Strong sensory evaluation skills and ability to accurately assess wine quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is typically required.

**Salary**: ₹45,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
