Position: Commerce Teacher - Maternity Leave Cover (3 Months)

1. Role Overview

This role involves delivering high-quality commerce lessons (Accounting, Business Studies, Economics) to Grades 11-12 following the ISC curriculum, ensuring continuity during the incumbent’s maternity absence.

2. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in Accounting, Economics, and Business Studies for Grades 11-12.
- Create instructional materials, assessments, and engaging classroom activities.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic progress.
- Manage classroom discipline and foster an inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and other school events as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic standards and exam readiness.

3. Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, especially in the commerce stream.
- Strong grasp of ISC board curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills with teens and parents.
- Ability to design well-structured lessons and fair assessments.

4. Duration & Terms
- **Fixed term**: Approx. 3 months (Exact start and end dates TBD, expected August to October/November).
- **Remuneration**: Commensurate with experience and school policy.
- **Reinstatement**: Position is temporary; incumbent will revert to original role upon maternity leave return.

5. Compliance & Policies
- This is a temporary assignment following maternity benefit regulations under the Maternity Benefit Act (employer is required to ensure employment continuity; temporary appointments are permitted during leave).
- Comfortable integrating quickly and smoothly into existing routines and practices.
- Proactive, adaptable, and prepared to manage a full teaching load immediately.
- Capable of working within a team and maintaining consistent quality in teaching and assessment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹10,607.07 - ₹40,561.60 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
