Qc Inspector

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan and perform assigned QC inspection of equipment/component/parts.
- Perform receiving, D&I, in-process & final inspection at facility level and/or designated location.
- Prepare inspection report and maintain files of inspection document in DMS/Rig Office.
- Review source inspection record i.e., from supplier, for QC conformance.
- Ensure the integrity of the measuring, monitoring & test instrument, used on QC work, is maintained, and validated for QC work
- Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for nonconforming parts.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all Company Quality and HSE policies & procedures.

**FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform specific QC inspection per QP/ITP at facility, supplier and/or customer location.
- Perform QC Inspection (receiving, initial, in-process & final) and to provide relevant QC Report in accordance with RTA Global Quality, Engineering & Global Standardization requirement i.e. dimensional, NDE-visual/MPI/LPI, hardness, coating/painting etc.
- Report of NC during manufacturing and remanufacturing QC process inspection.
- File & document all QC inspection results in DMS/Rig Office per BPA naming convention.
- Maintain & protect all proprietary controlled documents/files and the inspection records.
- QC test/FAT witnessing of equipment/product i.e. pressure/hydraulic, proof-load, functional test etc.
- Ensure all documents used for work orders are of the latest revision.
- Distribution of QP/ITP and/or job-card/router/shop packet to operational department (machining, welding, assembly/test etc.) on completion of QC stage inspection.
- Assists to conduct periodic inspection/checks of all test fixtures i.e. flange/hub connections & plugs, drift mandrel/pipe etc. for safety & quality maintenance.
- Assists to monitor, inspect & check the test equipment & process instrument to ensure proper maintenance, operations & calibration.
- Assists to coordinate external calibration of all quality related process instruments (measuring, monitoring & test).
- Assists to create PR for quality related purchases i.e. calibration, inspection consumables instrument etc. for processing upcoming/ongoing jobs.
- Work with production & QA and provide improvement feedback on QC inspection.
- Comply with NOV HSE policies/procedures and work collectively to achieve departmental KPI target & Objectives.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduate with Minimum of 2 Years’ experience (or) Diploma with Minimum of 4 Years’ experience (or) ITI Grade with 5 Years of experience.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferred.
- ASNT Level II Certification, NDE-MPI & LPI.
- Preferred, if applicable to primary duties, AWS/CSWIP Welding Inspector, QMS Auditor Certification.
- In depth knowledge of industry standards i.e. API, ASME, AWS, ASNT, ISO etc.
- Good English written & verbal skills.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time in both controlled & uncontrolled climates
- Ability to lift up-to 25lbs.
- Ability to wear prescribed PPE i.e. hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection etc.
- Ability to travel for business.

- Able to read engineering/machining/fabrication drawing & knowledge of the process symbols.
