Our culture is defined by the Principle-Based Management (PBM)® philosophy which guides everyday decision making and provides employees with opportunities to contribute and personally benefit from the value they create.** **Koch Business Solutions has an exciting opportunity to be part of building our HR Solutions Center in Bangalore, India Join the team and be part of growing and building a team that will support all Koch Industries employees in the region** **What You Will Do** - **Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and complex issues.** **- Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies.** **- Collaborate with HR, finance, and IT departments to enhance payroll systems and processes.** **- Analyze and evaluate payroll processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.** **- Lead and manage payroll projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process automation.** **- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of payroll processes, guidelines, and procedures.** **- Conduct training sessions for payroll staff and other departments to ensure understanding and adherence to payroll processes.** **- Stay current with industry trends, changes in payroll legislation, and technological advancements to keep the payroll function up to date.** **- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes related to payroll operations.** **- Assist in the preparation and distribution of payroll reports for management and other stakeholders.** **- Act as a backup resource for Payroll Transactional & Payroll processing activities as and when it is required by the team.** **- Work closely with team members and supervisors to identify challenges or hurdles faced while payroll transactional or processing activities are conducted and come up with plans or suggestions to remove or simplify such challenge points.** **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** - **The ability to fluently speak, read and write in English.** **- Bachelor's degree or equivalent** **- A minimum of Six (6-8) years of strong experience in Processing US payroll, US Payroll transactions and fair understanding of US Taxes. (Payroll processing Garnishments; Time file upload, off cycle payroll, Stop and reissue, Taxes)** **- Should have a good understanding of basic data fields in Payroll HR Information System and workflows.** **- Experience using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)** **- Experience communicating with all levels of an organization.** **- Experience researching, troubleshooting, and resolving consumer inquiries.** **- Experience collaborating and working on a team with a high level of accountability for self and others.** **- Experience working with any HCM and payroll platforms (Infor, SAP, ADP, etc.) and Case Management System (ServiceNow, etc.)** **What Will Put You Ahead** - **Understand overall Vision of how this team creates value for the enterprise, both now and in the future, as the team grows and develops additional HR capabilities.** **- Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics.** **- Proven ability to work professionally and proactively with a remote stakeholder base.** **- Comfortable supporting different time zones/shifts and skeletal staffing during public holidays** **- Solid understanding of how data flows between systems and a desire to root cause when something goes wrong.** **- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills and the ability to make connections (for example, if X then a downstream impact could be Y. Don't just "check the box" of a process.)** **- Ability to handle high volume of transactions/work and handle and prioritize competing demands** **- Curiosity, willingness to challenge (for example, if request is submitted with a certain wage type that doesn't seem consistent with the request - challenge).** **- Strong written and verbal communication skills** **- Thorough research and problem-solving skills** **- Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards** **- Capable of providing a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues** **- Excel at working well while under pressure** **Who We Are** **At Koch, employees are empowered to do what they do best to make life better.
