**Job Title**:Electrical Shift Incharge - Steel Melting Shop (SMS**)
**Location**:Raipur, Chhattisgarh**
**Department: Electrical Maintenance - Steel Melting Shop**
**Industry: Steel Manufacturing**
**Experience: 5-8 years (minimum 2 years in SMS of integrated steel plant)**
**Education: Diploma / B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering**

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and lead the electrical maintenance activities during the shift in SMS.
- Ensure smooth operation of EAF (Electric Arc Furnace), LF (Ladle Furnace), CCM (Continuous Casting Machine), and associated electrical systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance as per schedule.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with production, instrumentation, and mechanical teams for smooth shift operations.
- Maintain shift logbooks, reports, and maintenance records.
- Ensure proper functioning of transformers, LT/HT panels, PLC systems, MCCs, and control systems.
- Monitor and control power consumption and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and implement electrical safety measures in the plant.
- Guide and mentor the shift electricians and junior staff.

**Key Skills Required**:

- Strong technical knowledge of SMS electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, power distribution.
- Trouble-shooting of electrical faults under pressure.
- Good understanding of safety practices in heavy industries.
- Shift handling and team management skills
- Prior experience in integrated steel plant, especially in SMS.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability in high-pressure environment.

**Salary**: Based on experience and industry standards
**Reporting to**: Electrical HOD - SMS

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,905.81 - ₹35,968.48 per month
