Site Reliability Engineering

In this role, you will:
Manage the availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of GFiber services running on
Google infrastructure by engineering reliability into software and systems.
Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on GCP.
Work closely with development teams to integrate their services into the production
Google and GCP environments and ensure their ongoing support once there.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our
services.
Implement robust monitoring and alerting tools to detect and mitigate reliability risks.
Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to and resolving incidents, and ensuring
SLOs are met.
Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement preventive measures for
production incidents.
Contribute to the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new tools
for cloud reliability and management.
At a minimum we would like you to have:
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent
practical experience.
Strong experience with at least one public cloud platform, preferably GCP.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages. (e.g., Python, Go, Java)
Experience with infrastructure as code tools. (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
Solid understanding of containerization technologies. (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver)
Knowledge of site reliability engineering principles and the SRE model of incident
management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong communication skills.

Its preferred if you have:
3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role.
Certifications in GCP. (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer, or
related)
Experience with GCP-specific services and tools. (e.g., GKE, Cloud Functions,
Stackdriver)
Familiarity with serverless architectures and their implementation on GCP.
Advanced understanding of Linux/Unix systems internals and administration.
Experience in managing large-scale, public-facing production environments.
Contributions to open-source projects related to SRE or DevOps.
