The Deputy Chief Financial Officer is a key leadership role within the organization responsible for helping to drive the strategic direction of the company's financial operations and outcomes. The Deputy CFO will report to the CFO, providing direct support and guidance in the development and implementation of the company's financial objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. This individual will manage the financial operations of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. They will also oversee the financial reporting and analysis process, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of financial data.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the firm’s overall objectives.
Monitor financial performance against forecasts.
Identify variances and implement necessary corrective actions to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Identify financial risks and implement management strategies to mitigate them.Manage Budget and Cash Flow Forecasts
Ensure effective resource allocation and liquidity management.
Track Actuals vs. ForecastsReview financial reports, identifying and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
Minimize undesired variances to targets through proactive risk management techniques.
Provide Relevant Recommendations for Profit Maximization
Conduct regular reviews of expenses.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Champion cost-saving initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with broader company goals.Work with other department managers to maintain payroll budgets.Direct and facilitate member peer group calls and/or meetings.
Foster effective communication and cooperation to achieve organizational success.Review and Champion Cost-Reduction StrategiesOversee financial reporting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Interpret Data and Ensure Adherence to Industry Regulations
Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations aimed at maximizing profits.
Assist executives in decision-making processes by offering financial expertise and guidance.
Monitor Reporting Systems and Prepare Financial Reports. Deliver financial reports including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, A/P aging, A/R aging, Inventory, Payroll and Productivity reports directly to the CFO.
Prepare investment materials with a model and financial statements. Organize and hold meetings with investors and engage with them on funding / reporting needs
Responsible for the hiring, training, supervising, reviewing, disciplining, and subordinate staff as needed and in accordance with policy.
**Skills Required**:
Strong Financial Planning and Analysis Skills
Experience in Manufacturing Sector: Full-time or consultancy experience with a manufacturing company is mandatory.
Proficiency in Budgeting and Cash Flow Management
Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities
Sound Knowledge of Financial Regulations and Compliance
Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Ability to Work Collaboratively in a Team Environment
Proven Leadership and Decision-Making Capabilities
