What's this role about?

As a SSRS/SSAS Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical solution across MSBI stack (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS) for data warehousing development as well as consolidating and reporting data from multiple databases. You would be involved in converting business user needs in technical requirements and building reports, cubes as appropriate for robust user experience.

7-9 Years of Data and Analytics experience with minimum 6+ years’ experience in MSBI stack (SSIS, SSRS and SSAS)- Excellent communication and presentation skills.-
- Extensive experience in MSBI stack: developing SQL data warehouses, dimensional analysis and modeling, developing ETL jobs using SSIS packages, performing database support activities, and performance tuning, developing SSRS reports/dashboards, KPIs, and custom calculations scripts, developing SSAS cubes, setting up security via security groups and row level security. Good experience in publishing & scheduling Tableau reports.-
- Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming, Hands on experience in SQL - writing hands on experience in complex stored procedure, function, triggers as well as performance optimization-
- Hands on experience with BI / Data Analysis, collecting business needs and converting those into technical reporting and dashboards. Act as liaison between the end users & tech team. Well versed with solution architecture, PoC/Prototype Design, EDW design & modeling and report testing.-
- Ability to partner with the business in an extremely agile, iterative, and collaborative process to generate simplified operational and business views of a very complex and fragmented set of enterprise data across multiple sources like Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Cloud databases, SAP HANA, Hadoop etc. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present insights and story line to business users.-
- Good Understanding of different data models like normalized, de-normalized, stars, and snowflake models.-
- Advance SQL knowledge and hands on experience on complex queries writing using Analytical functions, Troubleshooting, problem solving and performance tuning of SQL queries accessing data warehouse as well as Strong knowledge on designing and coding stored procedures-
- Good experience in developing UNIX and SQL/Python scripts for data auditing and automating various database platform manual activities.-
- Experienced in supporting users in the learning process for the reporting tools, User training on the data platform-
- Well versed with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and similar project delivery methodologies.-
- Experienced in internal as well as external stakeholder management-
- Good experience in documentation of solutions (e.g. data models, configurations, and setup).-
- Exposure to Azure analytics landscape i.e. PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB / Synapse etc.-
- Experience in MDM / DQM / Data Governance technologies like SQL Server MDS will be added advantage.-
- Azure Data Engineer certification will be added advantage.-
- Nice to have skills: Working experience with Cloud Data stack like Azure, Snowflake, GCP or AWS or Open source stack like Hadoop Bigdata, Pyspark, Scala, Python, Hive etc.Advantage Zensar
