Position: Purchase Head (AGM / DGM)

Experience: 15-20 Years (in Automobile Sector)

Key Responsibilities

Obtain approval of indents from Managing Director before issuing Purchase Orders.

Receive indents for capital items from the Development and IT Departments.

Collect Performa invoices from vendors for advance payments on capital and urgent maintenance items and share with Accounts for processing.

Source and collect quotations for new and regular items, including any with price revisions.

Compare new rates and seek Director approval.

Distribute indents to purchase executives for execution and issuing of unit-wise P.O.s.

Coordinate with Stores Department for monthly consumables planning and initiate purchases accordingly.

Search for non-local items online and arrange quotations and purchases.

Supervise Executives to ensure regular and emergency supplies are managed promptly.

Maintain and define minimum inventory levels for each item.

Procure consumables from alternate sources and monitor pricing (e.g., polybags, Methanol).

Conduct daily DWM open point reviews and ensure timely closures.

Review RM/BOP tentative and confirmed plans, and monitor schedule vs. supply.

Weekly review of CAPA for quality issues, credit/debit notes, and pending GST returns.

Present MRM data in meetings.

Control supplier performance (RRK/HRD) for Roorkee and Haridwar plants.

Obtain quotations for new developments.

Monitor and control drawing wastage on a weekly basis.

Plan daily drawings for job worker suppliers.
