**Role Overview**
- The OCI Data Catalog PoC Specialist will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Catalog as part of the client’s broader Data Governance strategy. The specialist will demonstrate the capabilities of OCI Data Catalog, assess its fit for the client’s requirements, and provide recommendations for production implementation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the OCI Data Catalog PoC, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, and demonstration.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand data governance objectives, data sources, and cataloguing needs.
- Configure and integrate OCI Data Catalog with relevant data sources (e.g., Oracle Autonomous Database, Object Storage, on-premises databases).
- Develop and execute test cases to showcase metadata harvesting, data lineage, search, classification, and data stewardship features.
- Document PoC outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for next steps.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to client teams on OCI Data Catalog capabilities and usage.
- Troubleshoot issues and liaise with Oracle support as needed during the PoC.

**Required Skills & Experience**
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or cloud data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), especially OCI Data Catalog. Familiarity with data catalog concepts: metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and stewardship.
- Experience integrating data catalogs with various data sources (cloud and on-premises).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to document technical findings and present to both technical and business stakeholders
