**Roles and Responsibility
- Software Engg for development and test of Netscaler product line

Software Development Engineer:

- Most companies should be able to match to a specific software development engineer position.
- Use this position if company does not breakout software development positions such as Software Engineer (Applications) (5141-5146) or Software Engineer (Systems) (5161-5166).
- Survey Tip: If company does not identify software development engineers by functional designation described above, report to this Software Development Engineer (5101-5106) generic family.
- Position Summary:

- Responsibilities: develop, implement and automate test cases.
- Develop testcases based on functional specifications, RFCs and real-world scenarios
- Perform problem analysis to determine if there is a valid bug
- Submit bug reports and Perform bug fix verification
- Communicate test results to other engineers and cross functional teams
- Provide expert level guidance for Test development, Test procedures
- Contribute on technical review of test cases Review test results and bug descriptions for accuracy
- Perform problem analysis to determine root-cause of the bug
- Qualifications and Requirements:

- 4 - 8 years of network protocol testing experience.
- Good understanding of L4 and L7 protocol testing is a must. Specifically TCP, UDP and HTTP/1.1 protocol testing is MUST. HTTP/2 or HTTP/3 knowledge is a big plus
- Hands on experience in creating testbeds for complex customer issues
- Good problem solving ability
- Strong automation skills and good understanding of automation frameworks and testcase development
- Python coding experience is a must. Ability to automate in Go lang is also desirable.
