Geriatric Care Trainer

- Academic or Trade Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in geriatric care or elderly support services.
- Prior teaching or training experience, especially in healthcare or eldercare settings.
- Strong understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social aspects of aging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate. Students.
- Familiarity with course development and educational methodologies.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
- Skills Proficient in English and local languages, to effectively communicate with a diverse student body.
- Skilled in the use of technology for educational purposes, including digital health platforms.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage course schedules and resources efficiently.
- Empathy and compassion towards the elderly, with a commitment to ethical caregiving practices.
- Working Conditions this is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special sessions or field visits.
- The role involves both classroom teaching and practical training sessions in various settings, including eldercare facilities.
- Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
- Key Responsibilities & Duties:
**A.**Course Delivery: Effectively deliver the course content covering Introduction and Basic Care Practices, Health.

**B.** Management and Supportive Care, and Specialized Care and Professional Development.

**C.** Curriculum Development: Continuously update the course material to include the latest best practices, research findings, and technological advancements in geriatric care.

**D.** Practical Training: Organize and oversee practical training sessions, including simulations, workshops, and field visits, ensuring a hands-on learning experience.

**E.** Student Assessment: Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed.

**F.** Professional Development: Encourage and guide students towards professional growth and career opportunities in geriatric care.

**G.** Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, eldercare facilities, and community organizations to enhance course content and provide real-world learning opportunities.
