Job Summary:
The L2 Oracle Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and support Oracle database systems to ensure their availability, performance, and security. This role involves working closely with L1 support teams, other DBAs, system administrators, and developers to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Database Maintenance and Administration:
Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and upgrades.

Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning measures.

Ensure database availability and recoverability through effective backup and restore procedures.

Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide second-level support for database-related issues escalated from the L1 support team.

Diagnose and resolve database problems, including performance issues, connectivity problems, and data integrity issues.

Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption.

Ensure databases are compliant with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.

Prepare and present reports on database performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.

Contribute to the development and improvement of database policies and procedures.

Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with L1 support, other DBAs, system administrators, and development teams.

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to database-related incidents as needed.

Provide guidance and training to junior DBAs and support staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.

Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.

Experience with Oracle backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN.

Familiarity with Oracle tools and technologies, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Data Guard.

Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.

Experience with Oracle RAC and ASM.

Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).

Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
