Key Responsibilities

3. Supporting Mobility: Assist patients with mobility issues, such as walking, transferring, or repositioning.

4. Vital Sign Measurement: Take and record patients' vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.

5. Assisting with Medical Procedures: Assist healthcare professionals during medical procedures, such as preparing equipment and positioning patients.

6. Maintaining Ward Cleanliness: Ensure the ward, including patient rooms, corridors, and common areas, is clean and tidy.

7. Managing Linen and Supplies: Manage linen, supplies, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.

8. Providing Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and comfort to patients, families, and caregivers.

9. Maintaining Confidentiality: Respect patients' confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

10. Collaborating with Healthcare Teams: Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or diploma in healthcare assistance preferred.

2. Training: Completion of a healthcare assistance training program or equivalent experience.

3. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic.

4. Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects; stand for long periods; and walk extensively.

5. Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

6. Certifications: Basic life support (BLS) certification or equivalent.

Physical and Emotional Demands

1. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and transferring heavy objects.

2. Emotional Demands: Managing high levels of stress, anxiety, and emotional intensity while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
