**Job Title**: Lab Chemist

**Location**: Dairy Processing Plant

The Lab Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical and microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in a dairy processing plant to ensure quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform chemical tests on raw milk, cream, butter, Paneer and other dairy products to analyze
- Analyze ghee, paneer, curd, and other processed products for compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate additives, preservatives, and other ingredients for compliance and proper usage.
- Monitor in-process samples to ensure production quality at every stage.
- Test water, steam, and cleaning agents for compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide real-time feedback to production teams for process adjustments.
- Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and regulatory standards (FSSAI, FSSC, ISO, etc.).
- Conduct sensory evaluations for flavor, aroma, and appearance.
- Perform shelf-life studies to assess product stability.
- Identify deviations and suggest corrective actions to production teams.
- Record test results accurately and maintain laboratory logs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and batch-specific reports.
- Document non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Assist in maintaining compliance records for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as: pH meters, Spectrophotometers, Titration apparatus, Centrifuges
- Calibrate and maintain lab instruments as per schedule.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions.
- Follow HACCP, FSSC 22000, and GMP guidelines to ensure food safety.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g., FSSAI).
- Assist in preparing the plant for audits and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and contamination-free laboratory.
- Handle chemicals, reagents, and samples safely.
- Dispose of waste and expired materials according to environmental and safety protocols.
- Assist in developing and updating SOPs for laboratory procedures.
- Support R&D activities for product development and improvement.
- Suggest improvements in testing methodologies for accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on new laboratory techniques and industry standards.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
