**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Complies with profession of nursing department standards of practice, performance, ethics and decorum, serves as a positive role model.
- Responsible to the doctors to ensure that their instructions are carried out to speed up the recovery.
- Maintain the Accountability of ward inventory, Hold correct inventory, ensures adequate stock and issues for patient care.
- Ensures timely completion of “Admission and Discharge”check list.
- Checks and documents the equipment malfunctions and daily checking of biomedical equipment.
- Recognizes the rights and safety of the patient.
- Demonstrates accountability of nursing practice.
- Co-ordinates the delivery of appropriate nursing care to patient.
- Ensure an effective communication network.
- Prepares duty rooster and leave plan for her unit.
- Prepares assignment of patient and nurse duties, placing the right staff in the right place
- Provides an environment which fosters support and provides learning opportunity and quality patient care.
- Educates and supervises staff on all the infection control policies.
- Co-ordinates with house-keeping, maintenance, bio-medical engineering, patient services, Lab billing, doctors Pharmacy, store and dietician for the on time services are provided to the patient.
- Orient new staff on the unit function and imparts on - the job training.
- Plans and implements professional knowledge through case studies.
- Checks the patient medical record file for completion and accurate information and cross check the implementation.
- Ensure proper handing over and taking over by the staff on change of shift duty.
- Daily updation to Chief Nursing Officer.
- Resolving employee conflicts.
- Ensure and educate the nurses on safety measures to be carried out.
- Ensure that frequent assessment of patient is done.
- All errors and negligence are reported to Chief Nursing Officer and submit the incident report form.
- Stock narcotics drugs under double check system and strict maintenance of the drug register to be checked.
- Reporting of all infected cases, related to infection control to the infection control nurse/CNO.
- Ensure all the staff are aware of the standards of the hospital and its implementation.
- Ensure that all staffs knows & understands departmental polices & procedures.
- Evaluate work performance for staff’s ,example
- Competency.
- Ensure in service education to the staffs.
- Implement departmental training to the staffs.
- Make sure that all staffs are attending monthly training.
- Organize monthly meeting with nursing staffs.
- Maintaining departmental Quality Indicators.
**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
