**Job Title**: Commissioning Technician - Fire Safety and Access Control Equipment

**Location**: Hi-TechCity-Hyderabad

**Department**: Maintenance Engineering/Technical Services

**Reports to**: Project Manager/Lead Engineer

**Job Summary**:
The Commissioning Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning fire safety and access control systems in commercial, industrial, and residential environments. The role includes ensuring systems meet operational and safety standards, troubleshooting issues, and providing support during handover to clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Installation & Setup**:

- Install fire safety equipment (fire alarms, smoke detectors, sprinklers, etc.) and access control systems (Public Addressing, keycards, biometric readers, CCTV systems, etc.).
- Ensure all installations meet regulatory and industry standards.
- **Commissioning & Testing**:

- Perform initial configuration and commissioning of fire safety and access control systems.
- Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Program, calibrate, and adjust system settings as required.
- **Troubleshooting & Maintenance**:

- Diagnose and rectify faults and issues in installed systems.
- Perform maintenance tasks on fire safety and access control systems when required.
- **Documentation**:

- Prepare and maintain documentation for commissioned systems, including configuration settings, test results, and system handover notes.
- Provide technical reports and feedback to the project team and clients.
- **Client Interaction & Training**:

- Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for clients.
- Offer training and guidance to clients and end-users on system operations.
- Act as a liaison between the client and the project team for system-related queries.
- **Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards during commissioning activities.
- Stay updated with relevant fire safety and security regulations.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- Diploma/ITI or related technical field.
- **Certifications (preferred)**:

- Certification in Fire Safety systems and/or Access Control systems.
- Relevant certifications such as NICET, FIA, BAFE, or equivalent are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in commissioning fire safety and/or access control systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- **Skills**:

- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of fire safety codes and access control standards.
- Familiarity with software used in fire and access control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in various site conditions, including construction environments.
- Willingness to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
- Travel to client sites is required.
